How is it possible that my sweet tiny baby boy has started kindergarten? These five years have flown by so quickly. He has enriched our lives in so many ways. He is such a funny, smart, and joyful boy to be around. We just love him so much! He is truly a gift from God. I thought I would pull out some old pics of my little man through the years.
Cael was born 5 weeks early - he weighed 5 pounds 7 ounces. He was taken immediately to the NICU for underdeveloped lungs.
This is the first time I was allowed to hold Cael in the NICU after he was taken off the ventilator - 15 hours after he was born! I will never, ever forget this moment...
This is called Kangaroo care where you hold your baby skin-to-skin. It is a very important way to hold and bond with a baby in the NICU.
Cael was in the NICU for 2 weeks and came home oxygen for another week, and was on monitors for a month.
I made a scrapbook for Cael. 5 years after his birth I have completed his first month!!! I am much better at blogging :)

Cael at around 6 months old. His lowest weight in the NICU was 4 pounds 9 ounces, however, at 6 months he was 20 pounds!!!

.First day of kindergarten...I miss my little buddy so much during the day.
It was so fun to go through all these old pictures. I need to take the time to do this more often as these pictures have captured many precious memories. I am so blessed to have children and am honored to be their mother. I just wish it would go by a little slower. Avery starts preschool next week! I feel like I need just a little bit more time while my kids are little. They make life so interesting and fun!
