Gymnastics Meet

Avery is doing great with her gymnastics.  She was moved from the recreational level into the Talented and Gifted (TAG) class a couple of months ago.  Her classes are now held right along side the team practices which has been exciting lately as we get to see Gabby Douglas who is back training at Chows!  This summer she is taking two TAG classes and one Strength & Flexibility class.   It is a bit of a commitment to haul all four kiddos to gymnastics three time a week, but it works.  I bring along stuff to play with the boys or sometimes I leave get some grocery shopping done.  There is a really nice park not far from the gym with a beach so I am planning to spend a lot of time playing at the beach this summer!

Avery can now do her splits all the way down to the ground, backwalk overs, front limbers, pull overs and hip circles on the bar.  She is very close to being able to do front and back handsprings!   Her favorite apparatus is the bars with the vault a close second, and the beam is still her least favorite.

Last month she participated in a fun "Spring Fling" meet.  She did a routine on each apparatus.  I am always so proud of how much she has to remember to complete these routines and how she does them with no fear.   We are very proud of our little lady!
