Yesterday was actually a lovely, sunny day. We spent the morning at the mall with "the girls" attempting to watch a movie - The Muppets Go to Outer Space. However, Avery had different plans. So I spent most of the time in the lobby with Avery, Aftyn, and Cael. Then we headed to the play place which both kids LOVE. Piper picked out Cael a pair of nice flip flops. They were on sale so I got them for him. I thought they would be nice summer shoes that he could put on all by himself. Well...he can put them on by himself but he can't figure out how to keep on them while walking. I bet it took us 35 minutes to walk out to the parking lot because we stopped 87 times for him to put the shoes back on, and he refused wear his "old" sandals once the flip flops were purchased. What a fun morning...why don't we just stay home and play?
The afternoon was a relaxing time playing will all the neighborhood kids in the pool and on the basketball court. Avery was getting a kick out of Cael splashing in the pool. It turned out to be a great day.
Cael's funny quote of the day, "Allison calls Aftyn Taffy (her nickname) - we should call Avery a funny name. Let's call her Jill." What a goofball.
