Summer is here - sort of. The month of June hasn't been the warmest, in fact the kids had to wear long pants and coats yesterday, but we did manage to soak in the sun at the lake a couple of weekends ago.
Cael braved the water and swam in the lake while shaking like a leaf because he was so cold. He didn't mind, though, he was having so much fun. He was also a big help to Grandpa when he was fixing the dock. Fishing is always at the top of the list of his favorite activities. He finally used a real hook as he has gotten over his scare of hooking Grandma's arm last summer!
Avery enjoys the water, but her favorite thing is to just hang out with Grandma. This summer will be fun with her at the lake because we don't have to watch her as closely around the dock. She really understands her boundaries, and she can't wait to wear the Barbie life jacket!
The ultimate thing for the kids to do at the lake is to go kayaking with Corbin! They absolutely love searching for frogs, fish, turtles, and ducks in the coves.
