End of Summer

Summer is officially winding down. It is getting dark earlier, and the locusts are out in full force. So this past weekend we decided to head to the lake for one last day in the sun. The water was a bit chilly but we all braved the cold and went swimming. Corbin and Cael went on the Jet Ski and ran it out of gas! Cael thought it was such an adventure to be “stranded in the middle of nowhere”. He was equally excited to ride in some gracious folk’s pontoon boat as they pulled the Jet Ski to safety! Avery rode on the Jet Ski for the first time and absolutely loved it! Corbin took her into a cove and let her “drive”. Sweet Gabe played on the blanket most of the day and enjoyed going for boat rides. It was a great summer; however, we are heading into my favorite time of year – fall!!! More good times to come!

Grandma Karen got the kids fake snakes. Corbin had more fun with the snakes then the kids! He pretended to catch a snake with his fishing pole and hid one in the refrigerator!

I love how Cael has his arm around Avery. I pray they will always be close siblings.
