The 4th of July is always a big deal around this neck of the woods. We kicked off the holiday with a neighborhood bike parade, grill out, and a ton of fireworks. This year was fun and HOT!
Madeline and Braydon stayed with us during this week - 6 kids in our house was fun and a little exhausting, but mostly fun!
Next up is the celebration at the lake. This is the weekend that we look forward to all year. We swim, fish, eat yummy food, take golf cart rides, take boat rides, camp in the yard (thanks to Corbin's willingness to sleep outside with 4 boys) and watch some awesome fireworks with the family. Scott and Tami were back from Brazil for the celebration which made it all the more special.

Decorating the boat for the annual boat parade
Kylie joined us this year so Avery would have a girl to play with - the girls got some serious giggling time in! Kylie really liked fishing with Corbin.
The whole clan!
My mom had special shirts made for all kids to wear during the boat parade - so cute!
This year the kids even got to play on a slip n' slide! I did the slip n' slide a few times myself - it wasn't pretty.
One of the highlights of the weekend was using my Aunt's paddleboard. It was great fun for the kids and the adults!
We are lucky and very grateful that we get to spend so time at a wonderful place like the lake. The memories we make there with family are priceless!
