First Day of School!

Cael and Avery started school this week!  Avery is in kindergarten and Cael is in the 2nd grade.  Our sumer went by so fast, but I think everybody was ready to head back to school.  

Avery was super excited to go to kindergarten, and her teacher is Miss Reed who seems really great. She was disappointed that her first two days were "transitions days" and she only got to attend school from 9:45 to 1:45.  Today she got to go for the entire day!

Cael started the 2nd grade and his teacher's name is Mrs. Tigges.  He is enjoying school and we have heard nothing but wonderful things about his teacher.  

When we dropped Avery off on her first day she made sure she gave Gabe a big hug good-bye.  I thought Gabe was going to be sad without her, but I think he is enjoying the extra attention from me.

This was my favorite part of the first day of school - my baby girl running to the van at the end of day.  She was so excited to tell me about every minute of the day.  It is such a change from when Cael comes home and "can't remember" what he did at school.  

I am so happy that my kids like going to school.  I know that they will have a lot of fun and get in a lot of learning this year.  I am really loving my time with just Gabe and Luke.   The moments I have with the little boys seems even more precious because I know it will be gone in the blink of an eye.
