Basketball

Cael really enjoys sports.  Right now he seems to be interested in basketball, football, and fishing.  I think he likes to play soccer at school, but does not want to play on an organized team - which is just fine with me.  With four kids we are going to have to put some sort of boundaries on the number of activities they participate in.

This year he played two seasons at our local Sports Plex.  The league affiliated with the Sports Plex was defiantly more advanced than the league he played in last year through the YMCA.  It was really fun to watch.  The kids played "real" basketball - the refs called fouls, the players shot free throws, traveling was not allowed, and they could steal the ball.  It was super fast paced and kind of amazing to see how much the kids' skill levels improved from a year ago.   His team consisted of all boys and one girl.  They seemed to really enjoyed spending time with each other and his coach was awesome!
