This year we decided to have a garden.  Corbin researched what to plant and prepared the plot of land.  I am so thankful Corbin was the leader on this garden project considering that I kill everything I try to grow.  I defiantly do not have a green thumb.  With the kids help we planted squash, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, beans, and a few herbs.  Holy moly has it been awesome!  Corbin apparently missed his calling and should have been a farmer.  It has been such a great thing to do with the kids.  Avery loves watering "her" garden and all the kids love picking the vegetables.  It is so rewarding to grow and eat food from our very own garden.  Almost every evening we pick fresh vegetables to eat with dinner that night.  They taste so good!  Next year I would like to do more with flowers since it has been proven that with a little daily water plants reallys can survive in our yard!
